YOUR ITINERARY

DAY 00 21 May Singapore / Manchester
Meet at 10.30pm this evening at Changi Airport Terminal 1, Row 2 for your overnight flight to UK.

DAY 01 22 May Manchester / Lake District (B on board L D)
Flight EK 017 arrives in Manchester at noon. Coach straight to Dove Cottage at the Lake District for your session with the Education Dept and explore some of Wordsworth’s poems.

DAY 02 23 May Lake District – Cambridge (B L D)
Take a highland walk to Rydal Mount, a perfectly peaceful and beautiful home of Wordsworth that still belongs to his family. Then travel to Haworth to explore the inspirations of the Bronte Sisters. Talk by lecturer about Bronte sisters and their work.

DAY 03 24 May Cambridge (B L D)
Morning visit to Perse School. Join classes and have lunch with students. After school visit head to the river Cam. Punting activities possible this afternoon.

DAY 04 25 May Cambridge – Oxford (B L D)
Admissions Talk at Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge. Followed by lunch in hall. Meet Blue Badge Guide for a walking tour of the town and university.

DAY 05 26 May Oxford (B L D)
Morning visit to Somerville College. Tour of college and meeting with law/humanities tutors. Meet Blue Badge Guide for walking tour of the town and university. Dinner at The Mitre with NYGH alumni and attend evening debate at The Oxford Union.

DAY 06 27 May Oxford – Stratford upon Avon (B L D)
Attend lectures in Literature, Law and PPE at St Anne's College followed by Admissions Talk. Proceed to Stratford for the day. Watch an RSC performance of City Madam.

DAY 07 28 May Stratford upon Avon (B L D)
Drama Workshop this morning followed by a Guided Walking Tour of Stratford and a visit the Birthplace and Exhibition.


DAY 08 29 May Stratford upon Avon - London (B L D)
Full Day directed learning activities in Stratford before heading to London.

DAY 09 30 May London (B L D)
Full Day at the British Museum and the National Gallery with specialist Guide Sean Simpson. Meet NYGH alumni over dinner. 39 Steps at Criterion theatre.

DAY 10 31 May London (B L D)
Morning session on Language and Language Change at the British Library. Tour of the Royal Courts of Justice in the afternoon followed by an early dinner. Head to the Globe Theatre for a Session “Setting the Scene’ before watching the actual RSC performance of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing.

DAY 11 1 June Singapore (B L D on board)
This morning, meet with former BBC Poet-in-Residence and published poet Jacob Sam La Rose for a dialogue and poetry session. Then make your way to Regent’s Park for an Open Air Performance of Lord of the Flies. Bid farewell to UK as you travel to the airport for your return flight to Singapore

DAY 12 2 June Singapore
Flight EK404 arrives at 2055h at Singapore Changi Airport


While all attempts shall be made to adhere to the itinerary proposed, we seek your understanding should we need to amend the itinerary and timing of visits due to unforeseeable situations such as floods, traffic woes, strikes..etc.
